Markus Molitor Riesling Kabinett fruity sweet - Kinheimer Rosenberg
Markus Molitor's fruity-sweet Rieslings from the steep slopes around Zeltingen and Wehlen are among the greatest sweet wines in the world. Even Kabinetts and late harvests from the Zeltinger or Wehlener Sonnenuhr easily reach an age of 30-40 years. The fruity-sweet Kabinett from the Kinheimer Rosenberg is a real classic that can only thrive on the steep slopes of the Mosel. With only 7.5% alcohol content, it is a charming brother of Leichtfuß full of delicate fruit and intense flavor. Peach, apricot, mirabelle, the finest slate minerals. Ripe, racy acidity, crystal clear and aromatic on the palate. A great Riesling Kabinett from one of the best winemakers in Germany and the world.
A clear, fresh and light fruity in the fine nose, clearly characterized by slate. Juicy and spicy on the palate. A lush, yet minerally and clear Kabinett.
Goes well
Chilled to 10°C, a wonderful soloist, also great with spicy, aromatic Asian dishes and fruit desserts.
Vineyard location and expansion
The Kinheimer Kosenberg steep Moselle vineyard has a weathered gray slate soil. Wines from this location impress with their fine interplay of pronounced fruit aromas. Typical for Markus Molitor is winemaking with a late harvest in October, grape maceration, spontaneous fermentation and storage on the fine lees. Each of these steps underlines the complex and harmonious overall impression of this wine.
