Tenuta Prima Pietra is located on the highest hill on the Tuscan coast. Owned by Massimo Ferragamo who also owns the beautiful Castiglion del Bosco in Montalcino.
This organic wine is a powerful blend of Merlot 47% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Cabernet Franc 13% Petit Verdot 10%. A typical Bordeaux blend.
The wine is aged for 18 months in French Oak. Each cepage ripens separately for the first ten months. Then the wine is blended and aged again for eight months in small oak barrels. Prima Pietra is completely organic.
The wine is characterized by beautiful red berries on the nose, delicate spicy notes and a long harmonious finish.
