The estate’s premium blend using predominantly indigenous Portuguese varieties.
Produced from the best, estate grown Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, and small amounts of Syrah. Even though it is the most recent red wine in Mouchão’s portfolio, it continues to conquer critics and wine enthusiasts.
Vinified using the estate’s ancestral techniques – grape bunches are hand-picked, foot-trodden, and fermented in open stone lagares , after which the wine is aged in a combination of new and old French oak barriques for 24 months.
This wine is deeply coloured and aromatic, intense but structured, complex and full of personality. Intense aromas of black fruit, plum jam, mint, spices, with typical floral notes of Touriga Nacional. Delightfully balanced and rich, with surprising freshness and exuberant structured tannins that ensure its longevity. Despite its considerable aging potential, Ponte Mouchão presents itself perfectly in its youth.
